Branislav Mitrović, founder Mitarh d.o.o. arhitektonski studio, will lecture at SHARE Belgrade 2022 Forum

Architect Branislav Mitrović was born in Bar in 1948. After finishing high school, he entered the Faculty of Architecture in Belgrade in 1967. He graduated in 1974 in the studio of prof. Uroš Martinović. He was admitted to the Association of Fine Artists of Applied Arts and Designers of Serbia in 1977. Between 1977 and 1986, he was employed in the design institute of the RO “Srbijaprojekt” in positions ranging from independent to leading designer. From 1986 to 1990, he worked at the Research and Design Center – CIP Belgrade, as a leading designer. Since 1990, he has been an assistant professor at the Faculty of Architecture in Belgrade on the subject Architectural analysis of space.

He was a member of the Presidency of the Society of Architects of Belgrade from 1983 to 1989 and of the Presidency of the Association of Architects of Serbia from 1993 to 2001. He was the president of the Association of Architects of Serbia from 1997 to 2001. In 1995, he was elected as an associate professor at the Faculty of Architecture in Belgrade, on the subject Design 3 – Spectacle Objects and Architectural Analysis 1, 2, 3. From 1995 to 1997, he was the head of the Department of Design at the Faculty of Architecture. Since the 1997/98 school year, he has been leading Studio 11 at the Department of Design. In 1998, he was elected full professor at the Faculty of Architecture.

From 2005 to 2009, he was the president of the Assembly of the Serbian Chamber of Engineers. He was accepted as a corresponding member of the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts in 2006, and in the same year as a corresponding member of the Engineering Academy of Serbia; From 2010 to 2013, he was the president of the Board of Directors of the National Museum in Belgrade; President of the Committee for Professional Examinations of the Chamber of Engineers of Serbia since 2010; Since 2012, he has been a member of the Board of Directors of the Association of Architects of Serbia, and in the same year he was accepted as a regular member of the Serbian Academy of Science and Art and as a regular member of the Engineering Academy of Serbia, IAS. In 2015, he was elected professor emeritus of the University of Belgrade – Faculty of Architecture.

Branislav Mitrović is the winner of a large number of awards, professional and public recognitions for his work in architecture.
