International leaders in innovation and building technologies meet on 14 June in Sarajevo. They will participate in the SHARE International Architecture and Engineering Forum
The first edition of the SHARE Sarajevo 2022 – International Architecture and Engineering Forum that will take place at the Hills Hotel on June 14th will welcome international guests and leaders of architecture in Bosnia and Herzegovina. As it always does, the SHARE Forum becomes the scene of excellence in architecture and offers great opportunities to gain insight into the vision of outstanding architects and high-level professional networking.
The SHARE Sarajevo 2022 Forum showcases large-scale projects and addresses sustainability through design and the future of urban living. The event agenda consists of lectures by international guests and case studies of relevant national projects, while presenting innovative technical solutions.
The SHARE Forum is organised by SHARE Architects and the Association of Architects in Bosnia and Herzegovina (AABiH) with the support of main partners Zumtobel and Aliplast Aluminium System, sponsors Alukönigstahl BiH and Reynaers Aluminium.

International speakers
Martha Thorne, Dean IE School of Architecture and Design – Spain, Executive Director of the Pritzker Architecture Prize from 2005 – 2021 will hold a special lecture “The built, natural, and digital: Can we create a sustainable architecture?”
‘’Today´s there is a lot of talk about sustainability, SDGs, and the role of architecture and architects in creating cities that are equitable, livable, and sustainable. Maurizio Meossi, Associate Director ZAHA HADID, UK will give a keynote lecture ”Zaha Hadid Architets: Masterplanning – Designing cities”
Meossi will give an overview of masterplans designed by ZHA over the past 20 years, with a focus on the recent Zuglo Varozkozpont masterplan in Budapest.
Maurizio has worked on some of ZHA’s largest scale residential projects across the world, including Italy, Australia, Mexico, and Turkey. In Italy, he successfully led the design team for the residential cluster of buildings that form the new CityLife complex in Milan.
Gideon Maasland, director of MVDRV, is responsible for large and complex buildings at the renowned architecture practice. At the SHARE Forum he will give a keynote lecture “ Future cities “
‘’Is there still a future for cities? Is there a way to make cities more open, more porous, more sustainable, more social, more green? We will dive into these questions via the Porocity research at The Why Factory. Why are towers always straight extrusions? Via some historic projects of MVRDV, we will discuss Valley; a project that wants to push the ambitions of the future city. The last project will be Tripolis, in which we will discuss the importance of re-development of existing building.’’ – Gideon Maasland
Kerem Yazgan, founding partner of Yazgan Design Architecture – Turkey, will focus his lecture on different types of architectural interactions of buildings with smart technologies, the city context and the natural environment through his latest projects.

Tickets range from €10 for young architects under 30, €29 for architects and engineers and €49 for building material suppliers. Participation is free for members of the Association of Architects of Bosnia and Herzegovina – AABiH.
