The SHARE Architects Journey (1): Central and Eastern Europe
Central and Eastern Europe is one of the main regions where SHARE Architects has organized numerous architecture-focused events over the years, profoundly impacting countries like Bulgaria, Hungary, Moldova, Romania, Slovakia and Slovenia.
By fostering meaningful partnerships and addressing local and regional challenges, SHARE Architects has solidified its position in this region as a leader in connecting professionals, promoting excellence, and driving architectural discourse.
Since its inception in these Central and Eastern European countries, SHARE Architects has organized 51 SHARE International Architecture Forums, three SHARE Interior Architecture Forums, initiated the Romanian Building Awards, curated the jury for all six editions of the Bulgarian Architecture Awards, developed the SHARE Experts Meetings series of professional events, and hosted numerous Architecture and Technology Exhibitions.
These events have brought together thousands of professionals and leaders in architecture, urban design, and architecture technology, showcasing the latest trends and fostering collaboration.
Approximately 350 architects from Romania, Hungary, Bulgaria, Slovenia, Slovakia, and the Republic of Moldova are members of The SHARE Architects Society, an exclusive group within the SHARE Architects framework through which architects can confront ideas and conceptions, acting as catalysts for debates and actions. SHARE OPERA OMNIA Awards went to 16 great architects celebrating the region’s architectural legends: Trajko Dimitrov(Bulgaria), Špela Videčnik (Slovenia), Katalin Csillag and Zsolt Gunther (Hungary), Atanas Panov (Bulgaria), Alexandru Beldiman (Romania), Csaba Nagy and Károly Pólus (Hungary), Uvo Petrov (Bulgaria), Gheorghe Hereș (Romania), Gheorghe Telipiz (R Moldova), Majda Kregar (Slovenia), Angel Zahariev and Assen Milev (Bulgaria), Nicolae Țaric (Romania), Gheorghe Bulat (R Moldova), STUDIO10M Zerva, Croitoru, Medvedovici Associated Architects (Romania);
SHARE Architects is also actively involved in numerous local projects, serving as a partner in organizing conferences, a curator for juries in local and regional competitions, and a contributor to the content of architecture-focused events.

ROMANIA
In Romania, SHARE Architects has established itself as a pivotal force with 31 editions of the SHARE Romania International Architecture Forum, which has gathered over 12 400 participants to date. This premier event is complemented by three editions of the SHARE Interior Forums, which focus on connecting architects and designers with top brands and experts in interior architecture and design.
In Romania, SHARE Expert Meetings offers an exclusive platform where renowned experts and top architectural minds come together in a unique series exploring key topics: Hospital Design, Educational Architecture, Industrial & Logistics, Infrastructure & Transportation, Facade Fire Protection, Sustainable Facades.
Collaborations with the Order of Architects of Romania (OAR), the Order of Architects of Bucharest, the “Ion Mincu” University of Architecture and Urbanism (UAUIM), the Romanian Association of Building Services Engineers (AIIR), the General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations (IGSU), along with embassies and cultural centers in Bucharest, form the institutional partnerships through which we annually develop the SHARE Architects programs.
HUNGARY
With eight editions of SHARE Hungary Forum organized together with the Magyar Építész Kamara (MÉK), and attracting over 2,500 participants, SHAREArchitects has established itself as a platform for contemporary architectural dialogue.
The events showcase a mix of local, regional, and international perspectives. Topics range from façade innovations and urban design to technologies for sustainable environments, providing professionals with opportunities to exchange ideas and explore future trends.

BULGARIA
In Bulgaria, in partnership with the Chamber of Architects in Bulgaria, SHARE Architects has organized eight editions of the SHARE Bulgaria Forum, attracting over 2,500 participants. The forums focus on topics such as sustainable façades, adaptive reuse architecture, and urban landscapes, providing a platform for professionals to showcase cutting-edge developments.
SHARE Architects also partnered with the Chamber of Architects in Bulgaria for the prestigious Bulgarian Architectural Awards, further solidifying its influence in the region. Prominent figures, including ambassadors and local leaders, have supported these events, emphasizing their importance for the Bulgarian architectural community.
SLOVENIA
In Slovenia, SHARE events have been pivotal in fostering architectural innovation and collaboration. In partnership with the Chamber of Architecture and Spatial Planning of Slovenia, they have hosted four International Architecture Forums, focusing on cutting-edge design, advanced technologies, and sustainable living solutions.
MOLDOVA
Together with the Union of Architects from the Republic of Moldova, SHARE Architects has hosted two editions of SHARE Chișinău, focusing on topics like Good Living Architecture, Facade Design, and Urban Development. These events, attended by over 700 participants, have brought international expertise to the Moldovan architectural scene.
The Opera Omnia Award, given to Gheorghe Bulat and Gheorghe Telipiz , stands as a testament to SHARE’s commitment to celebrating regional architectural legends and fostering a network of professionals eager to elevate local standards. Aurelia Carpov, former Head of the Department of Architecture of the Faculty of Urbanism and Architecture of the Technical University of the Republic of Moldova is Ambassador of SHARE Architects in Moldova.
SLOVAKIA
The first edition of the SHARE Slovakia Forum, organized with the support of the Slovak Chamber of Architects, took place in the Mirror Hall of the Primate’s Palace in Bratislava.

Centered around the themes “Façades: Design and Technology” and “Large-Scale Development Projects,” the forum provided a platform to explore innovative design approaches, advanced façade technologies, and visionary large-scale projects.
This inaugural event gathered renowned architects, pioneers in building technologies, and prominent figures in the architectural field, establishing a solid foundation for future editions.
