Dr. Laura Narvaez Zertuche is an internationally recognized architect, urban designer, and spatial scientist. As a Partner at Foster + Partners, she leads the integration of people movement and data analytics into urban design projects across the globe. Her approach combines evidence-based planning, simulation-powered design tools, and strategic methodologies to address the complexities of modern cities. With more than 18 years of experience spanning Mexico, the UK, the Middle East, and Asia, Laura’s work focuses on how urban environments can be optimized through AI to enhance pedestrian flows, economic vitality, and social interaction.

Beyond her professional practice, Laura contributes her expertise pro bono to Urban AI, a multidisciplinary think-tank committed to the ethical governance and sustainable application of artificial intelligence in urban settings. She also lectures at ETH Zurich, bridging cognitive science and spatial design.
