Bringing agora back to life in Athens
Arch. Ian Ritchie- from Ian Ritchie Architects and SHARE Society Fellow sees SHARE as “an intellectual, emotional exchange of creative people”
The SHARE Athens 2018, International Architecture and Engineering Forum will take place on 27th of November at the Benaki Museum and brings together principal and senior architects from leading practices to discuss and gain inspiration from each other, recreating the atmosphere present in the ancient agora. The event will gather a series of outstanding speakers from 9 countries: Greece, Germany, Iran, United Kingdom, Italy, France, The Netherlands, Bulgaria and Romania, to celebrate architectural excellence through their most recent internationally acclaimed projects.
The SHARE Athens 2018 will offer participants the opportunity to meet one of the most awarded architects- Manuelle GAUTRAND ( France) -founding partner at MANUELLE GAUTRAND ARCHITECTURE and the 2017 Winner of the “European Prize for Architecture”. Her architecture shows not only an astonishing creativity but also a deep commitment by creating a relationship with the site, offering at the same time new interpretations to the classical programs.
ZAHA HADID ARCHITECTS will be represented at SHARE Athens 2018 by the Senior Associate arch. Maurizio Meossi (UK) as Great Speaker. Zaha Hadid Architects is one of the most prestigious architectural offices in the world. During his presentation, the arch. Maurizio Meossi will talk about the concepts behind “Zaha Hadid Architects – Residential Projects”.
Xander VERMEULEN WINDSANT (The Netherlands) principal architect & director of XVW ARCHITECTUUR and the 2017 Winner of EU “Mies van der Rohe” Award will share with us some of his experience in building residential projects, both private and collective.
Mark SUTTON VANE (UK) – from SUTTON VANE ASSOCIATES has been working in lighting design for most of his life. He wrote the lighting master plan and designed the lighting for the public areas of the London 2012 Olympic Park and he also lit the Crown Jewels in the Tower of London for The Queen and the Titanic building in Belfast. He was also numbered within “Top 10 lighting designers worldwide”.

SHARE Athens 2018 International Architecture and Engineering FORUM is an event organized by ProEvent Association in collaboration with The Hellenic Institute of Architecture and chaired by the President Elias CONSTANTOPOULOS.
The SHARE Forum’s spirit resides in the idea of connecting people through architecture, sharing concepts and initiatives in Central and Eastern Europe in order to bring architecture to a more social sensitive level.
