Remembering SHARE Budapest 2017 Forum!
Globally renowned architects together at one of the most effective networking platform in Central and Eastern Europe
On 16 November, the SHARE INTERNATIONAL ARCHITECTURE AND ENGINEERING FORUM Budapest 2017 took place at the Radisson Blu Beke Hotel in the Hungarian capital. The event brought together a series of extraordinary speakers to celebrate architectural excellence through their most recent internationally acclaimed projects.
As always, the event put together a mix of attendees: architects, engineers, landscape architects, contractors, investors, developers, representatives of the Academia and of the professional associations, offering them an extraordinary opportunity to make connections and stay up to date with the most innovative achievements of the built space agendas. The expo-conference was chaired by the President of the Budapest Chamber of Architects, Arch. Csapó Balázs.
The speakers present at this year’s edition of SHARE FORUM in Budapest are renowned personalities coming from 7 countries: The United Kingdom, France, Germany, the Netherlands, Portugal, Romania and Hungary.
Mr. Arch. Maurizio Meossi, senior associate of Zaha Hadid Architects, one of the most important architectural offices in the world, was the special guest of SHARE Forum in Budapest and presented the architectural concepts behind the CITYLIFE Housing Complex – the newest ZHA HADID addition to the city of Milan.
The landscape architect and Professor Rainer Schmidt, founder of the RAINER SCHMIDT LANDSCHAFTSARCHITEKTEN office in Germany, was the keynote speaker of the event highlighting the new urban center for the Wadi Al Dawasir region, a project located in the middle of the desert which speaks of the professor’s interest in the philosophy of “nature by culture”.
Arch. Ian Ritchie, founder of the UK office Ian Ritchie Architects, was also a guest speaker. Ian Ritchie and his practice have received more than 70 major national and international awards. Work has been shortlisted for the RIBA Stirling Prize on four occasions, and for the European Mies van der Rohe Prize. His presentation at SHARE focused on The Sainsbury Wellcome Centre for Neural Circuits and Behaviour, a unique, world-class neuroscience research institute at the University College London.
Among the other notable presences at the forum were also arch. Jana CREPON, leader of the landscape team Inside Outside from the Netherlands, arch. Anouk LEGENDRE, partner at the XTU Architects in France, arch. Andrei SERBESCU from the Romanian architectural office ADNBA and arch Raul Roque FIGUEIREDO, a founder partner at Pitagoras Group from Portugal.
The event brought a series of well-known local figures as well and became a platform for contemporary globally relevant dialogue between local and foreign professionals. Land. Arch. Anna Eplényi, the International Vice-President of the Hungarian Association of Landscape Architects was one the Great Speakers invited to the Forum, together with Arch. Ádám Hatvani, the founder of the Hungarian architecture office Sporaarchitects. The list is completed by Mr. Balint Kadar, a member of the KÉK – Contemporary Architecture Centre; Mr. Roland Fekete, guest speaker and representative of Agrob Buchtal in Hungary; arch. Zsolt Gunther, guest speaker and leading designer of 3h architecture; arch. Judit Z. Halmágyi, guest speaker, architect DLA, designer and urban development specialist at ZHJ Architects and Mr. Igaz Istvan, guest speaker and representative for SISECAM FLAT GLASS Marketing Hungary.
The SHARE INTERNATIONAL ARCHITECTURE AND ENGINEERING FORUM Budapest 2017 is a dynamic event organized by the ABplus Events Association in cooperation with the Budapest Chamber of Architects and the KEK – Contemporary Architecture Centre.
