The SHARE OPERA OMNIA AWARD was presented in Bucharest to STUDIO10M Zerva, Croitoru, Medvedovici Associated Architects .
As part of the SHARE Romania 2024—International Architecture Forum, held in Bucharest on November 6-7, the SHARE Architects Society presented the Lifetime Achievement Award, SHARE OPERA OMNIA AWARD, to the architectural firm STUDIO10M Zerva, Croitoru, Medvedovici Associated Architects.
The distinction, handed over by Florin Mindirigiu, Founder of the SHARE Architects Society, and Șerban Țigănaș, its Honorary President, was awarded to the Bucharest-based firm “for remarkable achievements in the field of architecture, as well as for its role in developing significant architectural projects throughout its career.” The award was received by the studio’s two founders, Florin Medvedovici and Adrian Zerva.
The two architects “are being celebrated today for what they have accomplished together with the teams they have formed, guided, and mentored,” as expressed by Șerban Țigănaș in a Laudatio delivered to the audience and the studio’s founders.
“Florin Medvedovici and Adrian Zerva are STUDIO10M, Zerva, Croitoru, Medvedovici, an architecture firm that has demonstrated professional maturity over more than three decades of transition and development in post-communist Romania. They have completed and continue to develop projects for this era’s major foreign and domestic investors. The pillars of their career as architects—expressed singularly due to the convergence they have achieved—are their profession, projects, architecture, and the legacy they are building.”
STUDIO10M Zerva, Croitoru, Medvedovici Associated Architects boasts an impressive portfolio of projects, iconic buildings, and award-winning works. Among the best-known, mainly in Bucharest, Șerban Țigănaș highlighted: Mobexpert, Swann Office Park, Piața Obor, Piața Timpuri Noi, Dacia One, Țiriac Tower, Polonă 7, and the Domeniile Coroanei Segarcea Winery.
“The architecture of those celebrated today is robust, serious, looking toward classical modernism but also contemporary aspirations, always in search of balance,” added Șerban Țigănaș.
The Laudatio concluded by emphasizing “the architectural and human legacy, the ideas, projects, achievements, experience passed on to young professionals, the teaching workshop and the marketplace atelier, as well as the support for young partners at Outbox Studio,” for which the two architects are honored “here and now.”
Over the years, SHARE Architects has awarded the SHARE OPERA OMNIA AWARD to more than 30 remarkable architectural figures from 14 Central and Eastern European countries.
