Biography

ABOUT

Tomaž Krištof, architect, born in 1974 in Maribor, lives and works in Ljubljana. He is the founder and head of the architectural office Studio Krištof. From 2019 to 2023, he served as the president of the Chamber of Architecture and Spatial Planning of Slovenia, and in the current term, he leads the Section of Architects within the chamber. He is a member of the Slovenian Government’s Council for Reconstruction, established after the 2023 floods. His work focuses on the potential for comprehensive renovation of post-war multi-apartment buildings in Slovenia and on the political dimensions of architecture. He is a regular collaborator of the Department of Architecture at the Faculty of Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering and Architecture in Maribor, and a former associate of the Faculty of Architecture in Ljubljana.
