ABOUT
Founded in 1999 by Stefano Gri and Piero Zucchi, GEZA Architettura
is a team of architects driven by curiosity and passion, always in search of the synthesis between Ideas, Beauty and Functionality. The studio works in the public and private sector on cultural, industrial, residential and large-scale master plans. We believe in the eloquent silence of the pure form. It’s there, in the essential, that we find our voice, narrating timeless stories through architectures that generate new meanings and new identities, becoming a permanent connection with the surrounding context. We develop architecture without trends and without compromises. We approach each project with the assurance of a controlled and rigorous process with constant attention to detail and the relationship with the environment and territory.
PROJECTS TO BE PRESENTED DURING THE EVENT
Project #1: Furla Progetto Italia. The Creative Hub
Start year: 01.01.2017
The new Furla Headquarters are located near the city of Florence, immersed in the Chianti area, The project highlights a paramount theme: the integration of the industrial architecture into the Italian landscape, providing an opportunity to rethink the quality of the workspace. Furla consists of three main volumes: one for office use, two for labs and logistics, but all of them conceived to be gently integrated into the landscape. The main entrance recalls the archetype of the Tuscan villa access: a linear row of cypresses to welcome the visitor and show the way through. This rhythm is replicated on the buildings facade with sunscreen filtering blades that control the amount of light that can get through the work spaces. Nature crosses the boundaries between inside and outside thanks to a system of patios and green roofs overlooking the wooded area. Land area project 42.000sqm , building usable surface of 18.000sqm.
