Biography
ABOUT
Argjirë Kuçi is a licensed architect in both Kosovo and Albania, renowned for her expertise in designing and overseeing large-scale projects, particularly in the healthcare sector.
She earned her Master of Science in Architectural Technical Sciences from the University of Prishtina in 2017. For the past seven years, she has served as the Design Team Lead at ALB-Architect, where she has guided multidisciplinary teams in delivering projects across Albania, Kosovo, North Macedonia, and several other regions in Europe and Asia.
Among her most noteworthy accomplishments are her leadership roles for the “Sheikha Fatima” Children’s Hospital, Pristina General Hospital; Infectious Diseases Clinic at Mother Teresa University Hospital Center in Tirana; Laboratories of Public Health Institute in Tirana. Driven by a commitment to quality, innovation, and functionality. Ms. Kuçi consistently aims to create spaces that respond to contemporary standards while addressing the diverse needs of the communities she serves.

PROJECTS TO BE PRESENTED DURING THE EVENT
Project #1: Sheikha Fatima Children’s Hospital

The pediatric hospital, which is the first of its kind in Kosovo, provides comprehensive healthcare for mothers and children through various specialized clinics and diagnostic and Emergency Medicine departments. The hospital’s constituent units are: Outpatient Department, Emergency, Radiology & Diagnostics, Operating Suite & Endoscopy, Intensive Care – Pediatric & Neonatal, Inpatient Wards – Surgical Ward and Oncology Ward, Central Sterilization Unit. The hospital is built within the campus of the University Clinical Center of Kosovo and is connected to existing clinics through 3 connecting bridges. On the first floor it is connected to the old Pediatric Clinic, while on the second floor it is connected by two bridges to the Gynecology and Neonatology Clinic. The hospital is fully equipped with advanced medical equipment including intensive care units (ICU), radiology and procedure rooms.
Project #2: Feasibility Study,Programming and Development of Technical Design for Prishtina General Hospital

Pristina General Hospital will provide secondary level health services. The project derived from the feasibility study, where are presented all the data for healthcare services given in the Pristina region. The focus of the project is to create a well-structured and planned general hospital with a strong outpatient focus on secondary care diagnostics and treatment as well as hospital capabilities for mild cases is the way to reduce the burden on existing entities as described. The Accommodation Schedule (Room Plan) is based on a previously approved Medical Concept and the assumption of a fully independent General Hospital with all internal clinical and non-clinical support services. This is divided into: Outpatient Departments; Inpatient Units; Diagnostics & Procedures; Non-clinical Support and Technical Areas. The total number of beds in the hospital amounts to 196 beds, with an additional 12 healthy beds in the obstetric ward (not counted in the total number of beds). The wards will be dedicated to medical and surgical services. Four different types of beds are recommended: Standard (single occupancy), Standard (double occupancy), Standard (quad occupancy) and single isolation rooms.
