Biography
ABOUT
Assaf Kimmel (b. 1990, Tel Aviv) is an architect based in Berlin and Tel Aviv, working across the fields of architecture, installation art, fashion, performance and speculative design. Recently completed projects by Assaf Kimmel Studio include the Better Shelter Pavilion at the 2025 Venice Biennial of Architecture, PASSAGE space at Kestner Gesellschaft in Hannover and the Xpander Tables collection which were presented at the 2025 Milan Design Week. Together with Kimmel Eshkolot Architects, Assaf Kimmel Studio is designing the Jewish Museum of Albania, which they won in a design competition (currently under construction), as well as working on a masterplan for the Caesarea National Park in Israel. Assaf holds a Diploma from the Architectural Association (AA) in London, where he also co-edited the AArchitecture magazine. He was trained as an architect at OMA in New York and TEN Arquitectos in Mexico City.
