SHARE ARCHITECTS SOCIETY AMBASSADOR IN ITALY
Roberto Beraldo (b. 1963) is an architect who graduated from IUAV University of Venice in 1989. After gaining professional experience in New York, Bata (Equatorial Guinea), Milan, and Trieste, he co-founded beraldo & marras architetti associati in 1993. The firm works in architectural design, cultural heritage restoration, urban regeneration, urban planning, and interior design.
His professional focus has always included the care and preservation of the built environment, with particular attention to architectural heritage and identity — closely tied to themes of sustainability. Alongside architectural work, he has been involved in complex urban transformation projects and the regeneration of small historic town centers, often in collaboration with both public and private stakeholders.
Over the years, his participation in numerous design competitions has led to several built projects and publications. Throughout the studio’s 30-year history, he has also taken part in various university research initiatives and coordinated studies promoted by companies and cultural institutions.
Since May 2021, alongside his professional practice, he has held the position of President of the Venice Chamber of Architects, Planners, Landscape Architects, and Conservators, and serves as Vice President of the Venice Architects Foundation. His institutional role reflects a strong commitment to promoting the profession and a culture of high-quality design. He actively contributes to architectural debates at local, national, and international levels, sits on juries for competitions and awards, and participates in technical panels — bringing the voice and expertise of architects from the historic city of Venice and its surrounding region.
