PROJECTS TO BE PRESENTED DURING THE EVENT
Project #1: Fortune’s Home 2F
Project #1 Category: Residential
Start year: 2022
End year: 2025
This project explores the dynamic relationship between human experience and the built environment, proposing dwelling not merely as physical occupation, but as an expression of identity, values, and aspirations. It seeks a subtle balance between function and emotion, between spatial efficiency and poetic resonance. Situated in a protected residential area of Bucharest (Bazilescu subdivision, Sector 1), the 360 sqm plot presented a series of constraints: an adjacent construction along the southwestern property line and the obligation to preserve a mature walnut tree at the front. These conditions informed a design strategy that attaches the new volume to the adjacent building and incorporates an interior courtyard to introduce natural light deep into the home. The architectural concept emphasizes spatial continuity and connectivity on both horizontal and vertical axes. A split-level living area responds to the client’s lifestyle and spatial aspirations, while full-height glazed openings on the ground floor establish a seamless visual and physical dialogue between the kitchen, dining area, and garden. The consistent use of wood throughout reinforces material coherence and a sense of warmth. Designed for a family with two children, the home is conceived as an open and adaptable environment. The intermediate-level living room offers a framed view of the backyard, while the upper floor accommodates the master bedroom and two identical rooms for the twin daughters. Balancing architectural clarity with lived intimacy, the project reflects a careful negotiation between constraint and creativity, offering a home that is both functionally responsive and emotionally engaging.
Project #2: ORAL REHABILITATION CLINIC Prof. Dr. Horia Barbu
Project #2 Category: Sport. Health. Wellbeing and Display
Start year: 2023
End year: 2024
The concept design proposes an innovative, inclusive, sophisticated, and powerful design characterized by the use of dark colors and modern lighting. The textures of the materials add comfort and personality, while the presence of black color introduces a sophisticated element. Within the project, simple geometric shapes are used to define the space, incorporating materials like wood, ceramics, and glass against a bright white backdrop, with subtle inclusions of concrete and terrazzo textures in the PVC flooring. The lighting fixtures, varied in shapes and sizes, become sculptural elements that shape the space in contrast to solid backgrounds in shades of black and gray. The expanded ceiling creates an impression of a clean medical environment and contributes to a uniform atmosphere. Through this combination of clarity and contrast, the result is a well-defined and organized space that harmonizes with its role as a representation of an oral rehabilitation clinic.
Project #3: Banu_Manta SRB apartment
Project #3 Category: Residential
Start year: 2022
In this urban residential project, the design seeks to strike a refined balance between everyday functionality and a quiet elegance expressed through clean lines and tactile materiality. The interior unfolds through a warm, earthy palette, subtly elevated by matte black accents, natural wood, and mineral-inspired textures. Through careful selection and thoughtful placement, the furniture subtly orchestrates the relationship between the users and the space they inhabit. Meanwhile, variations in lighting and material layers provide a sense of grounding and substance, while also contributing to a luxurious and sophisticated atmosphere. Color selection plays a vital role: carefully curated wall tones, furnishings, and decorative elements shape the mood and sensory experience of the interior—from calm, restorative hues to more vibrant, energizing shades. Overall, the design expresses a sense of understated sophistication, where value is conveyed through the quality of materials, the precision of detailing, and a harmonious dialogue between natural light and texture.
