Project Description:
The new Oncology Unit (138 beds) comprises 4 main buildings and a system of walkways that connect it to the main “Saint Sophia” Children’s Hospital complex (600 beds) in central Athens.
The new Unit has a total area of 15,000 m2 and comprises the following main departments:
Bone Marrow Transplantation Nursing Unit & Daycare Unit
3 Oncology – Hematology Nursing Units & 4 Daycare Units
Radioactive Treatment Nursing Unit
In vitro laboratory
Pain Clinic
Outpatients Department
Blood Donor Center,
Nuclear Medicine Department (with gamma camera)
Positron Emission Tomography Diagnostic Unit
School for the Education of hospitalized children
Landscaped area of 10.000m2 with playing areas, footpaths, parking spaces etc.
