Biography

ABOUT

I’m currently working as a Lead Architect & BIM Specialist at Blue Projects Design, with 7 years of experience using BIM-based workflows. I graduated from Ion Mincu University of Architecture and Urbanism in 2020, and since then, I’ve been focused on designing and coordinating a variety of industrial projects, from factories to logistics hubs. I am interested in the way technology, especially BIM, can make the design and construction process smoother and more efficient. I also enjoy teaching what I’ve learned, so I run occasional Revit and BIM training sessions for my colleagues. I believe industrial architecture is an interesting blend of function, efficiency, and innovation.

PROJECTS TO BE PRESENTED DURING THE EVENT

Project #1: Chocolate Factory Expansion in Belgium

Project 1 category: Shopping. Production and Logistic

Start year: 2024

End year: ongoing

A leading manufacturer of chocolate and cocoa products is expanding its facility in Belgium, with the integration of two new liquid chocolate lines within an existing Building. When finalized, the two lines will be able to produce 4 tons of liquid chocolate per hour, each. The expansion will cover an area of around 3400 m2 on the main production floor, with another 2600 m2 of structural reinforcements in the Basement. The project includes high-specification process equipment, automated dry and liquid raw material systems, and new MEP and utility networks, all designed to meet stringent hygiene and operational standards. In order to accommodate all the changes, the building architecture and structure had to be adapted, with multiple modifications and reinforcements. A federated BIM model enabled full coordination of architectural, structural, MEP, and process disciplines, optimizing spatial configuration and minimizing interface risks. The result is a digitally coordinated, high-efficiency production environment.
