Biography
Nejra Durmišević is an architect by profession and currently the President of the Association of Architects in Bosnia and Herzegovina (AABiH).
Prior to becoming President of AABiH she worked as an active member for several years, leading exhibitions, lectures, being the editor-in-chief for the AABiH portal etc. In parallel to that she has been working in private practice at studio AHAKNAP, founded by Kenan Brčkalija and Adnan Harambašić, where she has worked on various residential and hospitality projects, from design stage to full construction process. Projects like MGallery Tarčin Forest Resort and Sarajevo Waves have been awarded several times.
Currently she is leading her own studio, with activities in the field of Architecture, Interior Design and Urbanism. With her partner, she has managed to run a furniture production since 2018, which is heading to be one of the most recognizable productions in Sarajevo.
For the last six years she was involved in the activities of the Association of Architects. In 2018 she became a member of the board and in 2020 she was elected and still holds the role of president for the Association of Architects.
