SHARE Architects announces the official launch of the Open Call for the SHARE Architecture Awards 2026, an international awards program dedicated to recognizing architectural excellence across Central and South-Eastern Europe, the Caucasus, and Central Asia.
Architects, architecture offices, developers, contractors, investors, and beneficiaries are invited to submit completed buildings, future projects, and interior architecture works for the 2026 edition.

About the SHARE Architecture Awards
The SHARE Architecture Awards celebrate outstanding architecture that contributes to the quality of the built environment, supports cultural identity, and encourages innovation, sustainability, and social responsibility.
More than a conventional architecture competition, the Awards act as an international platform for visibility, dialogue, and professional recognition, connecting architects from the SHARE Architects community across Europe, Central Asia, and the Middle East.
The 2026 edition highlights projects that demonstrate architectural value, environmental awareness, social impact, innovation, originality, and a meaningful response to contemporary urban and cultural challenges.
Who Can Submit
The competition is open to:
Architects and architecture offices
Contractors
Real estate developers
Investors and financiers
Project beneficiaries, with the architect’s consent
Applicants may submit multiple projects. A project may also be submitted in more than one category.
Eligible Countries
Projects submitted to the SHARE Architecture Awards 2026 must be located in one of the eligible countries, regardless of the geographical location of the architecture office, design team, developer, contractor, investor, or beneficiary.

Eligible completed projects must have been finalized between January 1, 2023, and December 31, 2025.

Important eligibility note: The Future Projects section is not a concept design competition. Only projects with an issued building permit are eligible for submission in this section. The project must be located in one of the eligible countries listed above, regardless of where the architecture office is based.

The SHARE X Awards recognize exceptional projects and proposals that push the boundaries of architectural design while addressing major global challenges, including climate emergency, community resilience, health, technology, ethics, and core human values.
The Jury may also nominate Highly Commended Projects and other special distinctions.

Evaluation Criteria
Projects will be assessed according to several key principles:
Architectural and formal value
Complexity and quality of the design response
Environmental impact
Social value and public relevance
Innovation, originality, and experimentation
Critical thinking and contribution to architectural discourse
Response to context, client brief, budget, and implementation constraints
