Bernard Storch is one of PLP’s key creative thinkers, known for his life centric design approach that strengthens the relationship between people, nature and the built environment. As a Partner at PLP Architecture, he plays a key design leadership role, shaping collaborative, user focused outcomes across complex projects. His work spans residential, commercial, mixed use and urban design projects across the UK, Europe, Asia and the Middle East.
In the Middle East, he led the early design stages of a major mixed-use development in Riyadh, leading master planning, massing and early architectural concepts aligned with Saudi Vision 2030. In the UAE he has led design on major waterfront and mixed use schemes, including Dubai Creek Beach. In the Netherlands, Bernard was part of the senior design team for Tower Ten, a major extension to the World Trade Centre Amsterdam campus in the Amsterdam Zuidas.
In London, Bernard contributed to Park Modern, a high end residential and retail development within a sensitive conservation area, and Mayfair Park Residences, shaping a series of luxury residences through careful integration of contemporary architecture into their heritage context. He has also contributed to the wider master planning of Bankside Yards, guiding urban design and residential strategy of this major mixed use regeneration on the South Bank. His workplace experience includes the award-winning Sky Central and the new Hogan Lovells headquarters at Holborn Viaduct, transforming a fragmented site into a coherent and sustainable workplace with enhanced public realm.
PLP Architecture works globally across architecture and urbanism, helping clients navigate complexity to deliver long-term value through decisions grounded in context, behaviour and performance.
We believe architecture should connect people, place and purpose. We begin our work with a clear understanding of context including climate, culture, urban conditions and patterns of use. These factors shape how a building should perform, how it is experienced and how it contributes to its surroundings, ensuring our architecture is grounded, appropriate and relevant.
Buildings must be fit for purpose. We design environments that meet the needs of our clients and the communities who will use them, balancing commercial objectives with usability, social value and long-term performance. We believe performance and beauty are inseparable qualities of architecture that endures.
Each project is developed as a bespoke and carefully crafted response, shaped through close collaboration with our clients and strengthened by insight drawn from research, experience and disciplines beyond architecture. Adaptability, resilience and circular thinking are embedded to support longevity and environmental performance, allowing our work to add lasting value to the built environment.
